Write to [email protected]. There is no ticket system and no support team — Alsabeel is made by one person, who reads that mailbox — so a reply may take a few days, but it comes from a person who can fix the thing you are writing about.

Three settings that answer most questions

The prayer times are a few minutes off from my masjid

They are almost certainly a different convention rather than a mistake. In More → Settings → Times there are twelve calculation methods, the choice between the Hanafi and the standard Asr, high-latitude rules, and a correction in minutes for each prayer on its own. Set the method your masjid uses, then use the per-prayer minutes to close whatever gap is left. The times are computed with the adhan library, the reference implementation most prayer apps are checked against.

My location or my city is wrong

In More → Settings → Times you can set a place by hand: choose a city from the list built into the app, or type coordinates directly. That needs no connection and no location permission. Note that the compass needle needs the location permission even when the city is set by hand — the phone will not report a heading without it — so if the qibla says there is no compass, that permission is the first thing to check.

The adhan did not sound

Alsabeel schedules notifications on the phone itself; there is no server that could send one. So the phone's own settings decide whether they arrive. Check that notifications are allowed for Alsabeel, that a focus or do-not-disturb mode was not on, and that the prayer's own row on the Prayer tab has an alert and a call chosen. Settings → Adhan has a reschedule button that reports how many alerts it armed, which is the quickest way to see that the app's side is right.

A notification's sound is limited to thirty seconds by the phone, so what plays there is a short call. The full adhan plays when the app is open at prayer time, and when you tap the notification.

How to report a problem or ask for something

The easiest way is from inside the app: More → Suggestions and feedback. Choose Suggestion, Problem, Translation or Other, write what happened, and the app opens a draft in your own mail app. It sends nothing by itself — you read the whole message and send it, or do not. Leave Include app and device version on if you can: it adds four lines that make a problem far easier to find.

What to put in a report

What you expected, and what happened instead. One sentence each is enough, and it is the most useful thing in any report.
Which screen: prayer, qibla, the Quran reader, adhkar, tasbih, the timetable, settings.
For a prayer time: your city, the calculation method and the Asr setting you have chosen, which prayer and which date, the time the app gives and the time you expected.
For the adhan or a reminder: which prayer, what time it was due, and whether the app was open, in the background, or fully closed.
For the Quran: the surah and ayah as a reference (2:255), which reading mode you were in, and the reciter if sound is involved.
For a translation: the language, the text exactly as it appears on screen, and what it should say. Corrections from native speakers are the most welcome mail this app gets.
Your phone and its version of iOS or Android, and the app's version — unless you left the four lines switched on, which say all three.

You do not need to give your name. Please do not send a password to anything: Alsabeel has no account, and nobody from Alsabeel will ever ask you for one.

What happens to your message

It arrives as ordinary email in a mailbox read by the person who makes the app. The reply comes from the same address. Your address is used to answer you and for nothing else: it goes on no list and receives no newsletter. The privacy policy says the same thing in more detail.

Known limits in this version

These are real and already known, so there is no need to report them — though it is useful to hear if one of them matters to you.

A city set by hand in another time zone shows that city's prayer times against your own phone's clock. The instants are right; the clock beside them is yours, not theirs.
On an iPad held in landscape the compass heading is 90° out. Hold the iPad upright for the qibla; the bearing in figures is correct either way.
Recitation streams over the internet, so it needs a connection unless you have downloaded it first. A download is offered in the player.
There is no single "erase everything" button. Individual features reset from their own screens; deleting the app removes the rest.
The six languages other than English and Arabic were drafted and reviewed rather than written by native speakers. Corrections are wanted.

Things Alsabeel cannot help with

Recovering anything. There is no account and no copy of your data anywhere but your device, so if the app is deleted its settings, bookmarks and counts are gone. That is the price of the rest of the privacy policy, and it is deliberate.
Refunds. The app is free and has no purchases of any kind.
Religious rulings. Calculation methods, the Asr school and the Hijri offset are choices the app leaves to you and your community; it cannot tell you which is right where you live.
